Bethnay on our baclony in SaPa village. We did a lot of hiking around this area (again, more photos to follow (I'm still learing this blog stuff! hehe)

In the same village here is a boy tilling the fields. Its hard dirty work! Apparently in this culture the women sew and sell their goods, the boys work the fields and the men.... hang out??

After the hills of Sapa we headed to the warmth of Halong Bay and the town of Cat Ba (which until recently was a sleepy fishing town.) This is the view from our hotel rooftop bar/restaurant!
We rented scooters and drove all around Cat Ba island! DORKS!
We stopped our skoot ride to hike around the jungle of Cat Ba National Park. It was funky and dark at times (I think Matt took this photo on the 'night' setting!) Lots of weird noises and flying bugs there!
Then we rented a boat and cruised around Ha Long Bay to see all the beautiful limestone formations! Beautiful!
